Each nation has its own national heroes, both men and women, their names are closely intertwined with liberation movements for the freedom and independence of their homeland. For the British it is Margaret Thatcher, for the Chechens it is Amina Okueva, for the Ingush it is Zarifa Sautieva, for the Crimean Tatars it is Lenie Umerova, for Krasnodar it is Daria Polyudova, for the Belarusians it is Maria Kolesnikova, for the Tatars it is Fauziya Bayramova and Alsu Kurmasheva.
In fascist Russia, which every day brings itself closer to 1937, an unprecedented number of detained citizens has been recorded, administrative fines have been issued, criminal cases have been opened and activists have been sentenced to real terms, opposing the war in Ukraine, or calling not to go to war in Ukraine.
Bashkir national activist Ramilya Saitova was no exception and was today sentenced to 5 years in prison for calling her fellow tribesmen not to participate in the war against Ukraine. Recently, Parvin Abuzarova in Tatarstan, Natalya Filonova in Buryatia, Sasha Skolichenko in St. Petersburg were imprisoned under similar articles, Marina Melikhova from the Krasnodar Territory is still in jail, 19-year-old Olesya Krivtsova is under house arrest, and faces up to 10 years imprisonment.
Russia, as the heir to the Stalinist repressive regime, which fights against women, shows its fear and weakness and therefore deserves only contempt. Only in Putin’s Russia, where the so-called “traditional values” are defended by officially unmarried men Putin and Volodin, women have become the main criminals in the country!
This misanthropic Evil Empire – Russia must be decolonized and only in independent states will it be possible to restore human rights, freedom and democracy.
We express our support and patience to the relatives of Ramila Saitova and all political prisoners.
Sincerely,
Rafis Kashapov – Prime Minister of the government of independent Tatarstan in exile;
Aida Abdrakhmanova – Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Independent Tatarstan in exile on national and religious issues;
